Attraction Zone Theory
Premise: There are two categories in which all characteristics of a person fall into - mental and physical.
Purpose: To take a tongue-in-cheek look at the nature of relationships between two people.
F.A.Q.
Q: What is a null set?
A: It means no such person exists.
Q: What if I am friends and fbuddys with person x, but we aren't dating?
A: That means your perspectives aren't aligned - you're in different zones. Person x is in your dating zone, but you are only in their friends or fbuddy zone.
Q: I refuse to believe that we're not dating because I'm in one of their other zones!
A: Got a better explanation?
Q: I am a sexy stud/babe/etc but people don't want me as a fbuddy. Why?
A: You're not as physically attractive as you think. ie, you are not in their fbuddy zone. You're probably in their zone of pain.
Q: What is the difference between dating potential and dating zone?
A: Dating potential means you could stay friends/fbuddies without it getting awkward. If you are in the dating zone, it means feelings exist.
Q: If my boyfriend cheats on me, what zone am I in?
A: It *may* mean you're lower on the physical attraction scale than the girl he hooked up with. If she is higher on both physical and mental attraction, he would leave you instead of just cheating. Or, that he's just not that into you.
Q: If my girlfriend cheats on me, what zone am I in?
A: Same as above, but for mental attraction.
Q: Does the zone chart change under the influence of alcohol/drugs?
A: Yes, it would look like
this.
Notes
1. If you are dating in this corner, it means you are desperate.
